Dr. Sakthi Kanal got gold medal with Nicholas Andy in M.S Orthopaedic examination. He Cleared in DIP NB(orthopedics) merit in single attempt. Did his senior resident ship in AIIMS(All India Institute of Medical Science), Delhi, cleared FNB spine entrance and done his FNB spine surgery programme in Ganga Ortho Hospital. Later did his fellowship in Spine Surgery with Dr. Paul Taylor in Perth, Australia. He is the first qualified spine surgeon in erode and also first to perform rare surgeries in erode.
Dr. Sakthi Kanal is highly hardworking, he got Nicholas Andy Gold medal in M.S(Ortho) exams. Later worked as observer in Royal College of Edinburgh and Worked as Senior Resident in AIIMS, New Delhi. He got selected for FNB program in Ganga hospital, Coimbatore and did fellowship under Dr. Paul Taylor in Perth, Australia in the department of spine. During the fellowship in Ganga hospital, he involved in various spine and ortho research activities. Dr. Sakthi Kanal is experienced in all types of spine surgery including Lamba, Thoraxic and cervical disc problems, degenerative disorder, spondylolystesis, scholosis, syphosis, traumatic spine, paediatric spine disorders.
